About Me
I describe myself as self-motivated, dynamic and eager to learn new skills (This February I started learning acoustic guitar). During my free time I like to practice sports such as tennis, basketball and football. This year I was part of the Cardiff Medics Basketball team. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am a very patient and positive person which sets me up to easily motivate people. I have excellent communication skills enabling to easily explain things by taking problems step by step, simplifying and using visuals and analogies to make concepts clearer.
How I Can Help
During my time at university, I have been a mentor to help first year students transition into university. In these meetings I developed my communication and organization skills. This will help me organize the sessions with the students to tailor their needs. Additionally, to make the lessons more engaging and to ensure the student has understood the concepts of the lessons, I will set a past paper question as homework for the student to complete prior to the next session.

The Really Hard Things I Enjoy Explaining
Explaining how to code is quite challenging as it is different to everything you have seen before. For this reason, to be able to understand it, you have to go back to the basics and build up from there. Hence, making it the most enriching feeling when you are able to successfully run your program.
