About Me

Hey, I’m Ella. I’m a Canadian international student currently studying at Canterbury School Gran Canaria. Being an international student since age 9, I know all too well the difficulties of learning in a language and culture entirely different to your own. However, I have also learned to navigate school and communicate with other students and teachers in a dynamic, effective manner which has helped me achieve excellent results in school so far.

I have a passion for music, reading and writing, and I love to learn about relationships within and between cultures, and how they change over time. Overall, I love to learn; I believe that no knowledge is useless. I may not know my plan for the future exactly, but I’m excited and ready to create meaningful connections and absorb as much knowledge as I can!

Hola, soy Ella. Soy una estudiante internacional de Canadá que estudia en el colegio Canterbury de Gran Canaria. Debido a ser una estudiante internacional desde los 9 años, conozco perfectamente las dificultades que conlleva aprender en un idioma y cultura completamente diferente a la tuya. Sin embargo, también he aprendido a manejar el colegio y comunicarme con otros estudiantes y profesores de manera dinámica y efectiva, lo que me ha ayudado a conseguir resultados excelentes en el colegio.

Tengo una pasión por leer, escribir y la música, y me encanta aprender sobre relaciones entre culturas y como cambian a lo largo del tiempo. Sobre todo, me encanta aprender; opino que no hay conocimiento que sea inútil. Puede que aún no sepa lo que será exactamente de mi futuro, pero estoy emocionada y preparada para crear conecciones significativas y absorber todo el conocimiento que pueda.

How I Can Help

As a tutor, my aim is to forge a connection with my student in such a way that their needs are understood and met. I understand that reaching out for help is often daunting, and so pride myself on teaching in a way that is by no means scary or unapproachable.

Along with tutoring, I will provide in-depth notes for History, Biology, English and English Literature and can explain the exact formulas to navigating CIE IGCSE exams like a pro.

Como tutora, mi objetivo es formar una conección con mis alumnos de manera que sus necesidades sean entendidas y se cumplan. Entiendo que a veces pedir ayuda pueda ser intimidante, por lo que me enorgullezco en enseñar de una manera que no asuste de ninguna manera.
