Information

As a computer science teacher, I believe that my passion for the subject is contagious. I’ve been teaching key stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level students at an International school following the British curriculum for over 17 years and I can confidently say that there’s nothing I love more than guiding students to discover their own passion for computer science.

I strive to make my lessons engaging and interactive, creating an environment where students are excited to come to class and learn.

I am continuously looking for new ways to improve and become a better teacher. I believe that true learning comes from hands-on experience, and that’s why I make sure to include a lot of practical work and real-world projects in my lessons. My goal is to inspire my students to see the possibilities and potential of computer science, and to show them how it can be used to change the world.

Experience

– With over 17 years of experience, I have taught Cambridge A-Level and IGCSE Computer Science, and have been fortunate to have had students achieve exceptional results, including 8 Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for A-Level (the highest mark in Spain) and 3 for IGCSE.

– I have also delivered the Key Stage 3 Computer Science National Curriculum of England for over 17 years and have been responsible for implementing and updating the full secondary school Computer Science curriculum.

– In addition, I have mentored teams of students for international and national Computer Science competitions for over 6 years. Some notable achievements include third place in the 2019 European Space Agency’s Moon Camp, first place in the 2020 Astro-Pi Challenge, and top 5 in the Regional Informatics Olympiads in 2022 and winner in 2023.
