In terms of DP History, I have taught 20th century European History.
Paper 1 (Prescribed subject 3): The Move to Global War
Paper 2 (World History topics): 10 (Authoritarian states in the 20th century), 11 (Causes and effects of 20th century wars), and 12 (Cold War and Superpower tensions)
Paper 3 (HL Option 4: European History): 13 (Europe and the First World War: 1871-1918), 14 (Inter-war domestic developments in European states (1918-1939); and then, 15 (Diplomacy in Europe: 1919-1945)

Information

I am a trained and experienced IB teacher for almost two decades. I am passionate about History and Theory of Knowledge (TOK). I have attended workshops for DP History, TOK and MYP Humanities. I have worked in different international schools in Berlin, Abu Dhabi, Baku and Lisbon. I am currently living in Oeiras (Lisbon area), Portugal. I have recently submitted by doctoral thesis through the Aberta and NOVA universities and am currently awaiting the date for its defense.

In the aforementioned schools, I have taught detailed lessons in the causes and effects of historiacla trends, events, wars within conceptual frameworks of the IB. I have prepared the students for their external assessment (exams) and internal assessments (IA). I have mentored many students in the Extended Essays (EE) in History, as well as moderated these investigative papers with colleagues. The same follows for TOK, in which I have taught and mentored students, as well as moderated their written work.
