About Me

Currently, I’m attending school at the sixth form, trying to expand my business studies knowledge to study in university. From the other subjects I take like Physics and English, I feel like Business Studies is the one that is for me, since I want to become an entrepreneur. Throughout my life, working for other people doesn’t fit for me. I prefer to be the boss and manage and coordinate my own business. But this isn’t the only plan. Relating to business, I could also work in product development if I take an engineering course. I also find that making things from scratch is interesting.

I am now part of the CSU in my school, which is a student union built by the Y12 and Y13. It helps me feel part of something and is something that breaks from my routine of just going to school and studying. It’s also been amazing to build new relationships with people my age group and when people ask ME for help, it gives me that sense of self-worth. I hope to take a top position in the union next year, as head boy or deputy head boy. I have the confidence and time management skills to manage a group of people and the feeling of being a leader for me is motivating. I would like to be chosen more often to fulfil head positions. When I’m not chosen, I still try to pitch in whenever I can but, in my opinion, I am one of the most hard-working in my year group.

These are just some of the things I’m currently searching for. External things that not all students do to stand out and build a name for myself, helping me in my CV. I’ve also tried take internships at other businesses like in, Droguerias Venezuela (https://www.drogueriavenezuela.com), to get that feeling of a business environment. Relating back to this, I’ve come to online tutoring to add to my skills and my CV. I hope to become a tutor not only to just put in my CV, but also to help children that struggled in school like I did and make an income on the side. Whilst money isn’t my main motivator, having that small income at 16 years old is a good side hustle.

Now as my AS exams are coming up, there is less time to fit in my schedule of studying, sport, tutoring, etc. But, I always put the most effort I can to get everything I want done and get those high grades. I’d love to tutor.

Actualmente, estoy asistiendo a la escuela en la sexta forma, tratando de expandir mis conocimientos de estudios comerciales para estudiar en la universidad. De las otras materias que tomo como Física e inglés, siento que Ciencias Empresariales es la que es para mí, ya que quiero ser emprendedor. A lo largo de mi vida, trabajar para otras personas no me conviene. Prefiero ser el jefe y administrar y coordinar mi propio negocio. Pero este no es el único plan. En cuanto a los negocios, también podría trabajar en el desarrollo de productos si tomo un curso de ingeniería. También encuentro que hacer cosas desde cero es interesante.

Ahora soy parte de la CSU en mi escuela, que es un sindicato de estudiantes creado por Y12 y Y13. Me ayuda a sentirme parte de algo y es algo que rompe con mi rutina de ir a la escuela y estudiar. También ha sido increíble construir nuevas relaciones con personas de mi edad y cuando las personas ME piden ayuda, me da ese sentido de autoestima. Espero ocupar un puesto de liderazgo en el sindicato el próximo año, como ‘headboy’ o ‘deputy head boy’. Tengo la confianza y las habilidades de administración del tiempo para manejar un grupo de personas y el sentimiento de ser un líder para mí es motivador. Me gustaría ser elegido más a menudo para ocupar puestos de cabeza. Cuando no me eligen, todavía trato de colaborar siempre que puedo, pero, en mi opinión, soy uno de los más trabajadores de mi grupo de año.

Estas son solo algunas de las cosas que estoy buscando actualmente. Cosas externas que no todos los estudiantes hacen para sobresalir y construirme un nombre, ayudándome en mi CV. También he intentado realizar pasantías en otras empresas como Droguerías Venezuela (https://www.drogueriavenezuela.com), para tener esa sensación de un entorno empresarial. En relación con esto, he venido a la tutoría en línea para agregar a mis habilidades y mi CV. Espero convertirme en tutora no solo para poner mi CV, sino también para ayudar a los niños que tuvieron dificultades en la escuela como yo lo hice y generar ingresos adicionales. Si bien el dinero no es mi principal motivador, tener ese pequeño ingreso a los 16 años es un buen ajetreo.

Ahora que se acercan mis exámenes AS, hay menos tiempo para encajar en mi horario de estudio, deporte, tutoría, etc. Pero siempre pongo el mayor esfuerzo posible para hacer todo lo que quiero y obtener esas altas calificaciones. Me encantaría ser tutor.

How I Can Help

I feel like I’m able to develop exercises for any tutoring students I have. For example, if I were teaching a Y8 some algebra, I could myself come up with a lesson plan and leave them off with exercises to work on themselves as practice makes perfect. Obviously if they need my help, I’m happy to answer. Moreover, I feel that I could explain subjects that I know from my IGCSEs easily for now. I would need more practice if I wanted to teach AS material. I’m also willing to move schedules apart if per say, my student had an exam the following day, to do some last minute revision so they’re confident for the exam. I don’t believe in *just watch the videos and understand*, I prefer explaining it to them in my own words myself. If I develop my own system with my own silly examples, I feel like it will stick in their minds more.

I haven’t really had any online tutoring experience, but I find myself teaching some maths or business to my peers in class sometimes, and I feel like I’m good at it since I believe they understand it. I also like teaching some material to my peers before a test since, for me, teaching something helps me study it and know it myself for the actual test.

Siento que puedo desarrollar ejercicios para cualquier estudiante de tutoría que tenga. Por ejemplo, si estuviera enseñando un poco de álgebra a un Y8, yo mismo podría idear un plan de lección y dejarlos con ejercicios para trabajar en sí mismos a medida que la práctica hace la perfección. Obviamente, si necesitan mi ayuda, estaré feliz de responder. Además, siento que podría explicar temas que conozco de mis IGCSE fácilmente por ahora. Necesitaría más práctica si quisiera enseñar material AS. También estoy dispuesto a separar los horarios si, por ejemplo, mi estudiante tiene un examen al día siguiente, para hacer una revisión de última hora para que tenga confianza para el examen. No creo en *solo ver los videos y entender*, prefiero explicárselo con mis propias palabras. Si desarrollo mi propio sistema con mis propios ejemplos tontos, siento que se quedará más en sus mentes.

Realmente no he tenido ninguna experiencia de tutoría en línea, pero a veces me encuentro enseñando algunas matemáticas o negocios a mis compañeros en clase, y siento que soy bueno en eso porque creo que lo entienden. También me gusta enseñar algún material a mis compañeros antes de un examen ya que, para mí, enseñar algo me ayuda a estudiarlo y saberlo yo mismo para el examen real.
